As Dame Edna continues to tour America with her "vibrantly stimulating theatrical infrastructure" in the form of "Dame Edna - My First Last Tour", we have news that the gorgeous little non-entities of Florida have been invited to enter a Dame Edna Lookalike contest to win tickets to the show.Dame Edna is, of course, an international style guru and fashion icon (most recently celebrated with her own MAC collection!), and desperados the world over are always attempting to recreate the gigastar glamour, with mostly inadequate results. After all, very few have her eye for refined understatement, do they?
No doubt her adoring fans will enter this contest in their squillions!
But - goodness me! - let's hope that there won't be any men entering. I think that the idea of a man getting dressed up in women's clothing is a little uncalled-for.
